As fast as the chaos came is how fast it flew by on Saturday. This was a day where number one fell to number four and unranked teams game ranked teams a run for their money. One of the most awaited games of the year was “The Game.” For those who don’t know what “The Game” is, it it the matchup between Michigan and Ohio State. This game is recognized as one of the biggest rivalries in sports. This game came down to the wire in a shootout between Ohio State QB Braxton Miller and Michigan’s Devin Gardner.

A late touchdown with 32 seconds left had the score at a tight 41-42 with Ohio state on top. A bad call to go for two left Michigan the loser as Devin Gardner threw an interception to end ‘The Game.” Season after season this game never disappoints.

This game, however, was not the only game lighting up our television screens on Saturday. The rivalry game that fans wait for ever rivalry week is no other than the matchup between Auburn and Alabama.

This year Alabama sat at the top being number one in the nation and Auburn at number four.

The game started slow in the first quarter with Alabama not scoring and Auburn up 7-0. Alabama turned it up in the second quarter however outscoring the Tigers 21-7. Both teams went to the locker room with Alabama up 21-14. This game also came down to the wire as the teams were tied at 28 with only seconds remaing. As the clock ticked down, Alabama sent its special teams on the field. The field goal attempt resulted in a miss and was returned for a touchdown to end the game.

Some of the biggest upsets and and greatest underdogs stories happen on Rivalry week. This Rivalry week will definitely go down in history as one of the best ever.
