Brian’s Fantasy Football Corner Part 2

Brians Fantasy Football Corner Part 2

Week 12 is the last week of the regular season for most fantasy teams. After this week, some teams are going to be done their year as a fantasy player and some people are going to duke it out and hopefully win the league.

Sometimes going with your own gut is not good enough, so I sometimes use online sources to obtain players and teams they are playing so I can determine weather to start or sot the players.

As of Week 12, there are many surprises and disappointments among the NFL. I am now going to tell you who you want to have starting on your team this week and who you want on the bench.

 Starting Line-Up

Matthew Stafford (Detroit Lions)- The Lions will be looking to bounce back after a tough loss to the Steelers. Although the Buccaneers are on a roll, they will have a hard time stopping Calvin Johnson, as well as the rest of the Lions repituar.

Andre Brown (New York Giants)- The Cowboys have given up the most points to running backs this season without linebacker Sean Lee. Brown has been very effective in limited starts for the Giants and, even behind a questionable line, is a must start against the Cowboys.

Vernon Davis (San Francisco 49ers)- Davis is the best 49ers receiver right now, and to beat Washington, he is going to have to live up to expectations. Davis will likely have a good game against a shaky Washington secondary who got torn apart from the Eagles just a week ago.

Jordy Nelson(Green Bay Packers)- Although Packers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, is out with a collarbone injury, Nelson is match- up proof and will be a smart start against a shaky Vikings defense.

Bench

Philip Rivers (San Diego Chargers)- The Chiefs had on of if not the best defenses in the NFL. The Chiefs are coming off a tough loss to the Broncos and will likely take there aggression out on the Chargers. Although Rivers has played good this season, it is not smart to start him this week.

Maurice Jones-Drew (Jacksonville Jaguars)- Jones-Drew, as well as the rest of the Jaguars offense, has been very stingy this season. The Texans have also not played well, but they should be able to stop Jones-Drew.

Tom Brady (New England Patriots)- New England is coming off a tough loss to Carolina and will have to get over it quick and prepare for the best team in the league, the Broncos. The Broncos defense has been playing excellent and it will be tough for Brady to execute his offense without the weapons he has had in years past.

Martellus Bennett (Chicago Bears)- Bennet has been inconsistent and untrustworthy. Against a hot team like the Rams, it is not smart to start Bennett.
