J.J. Watt no longer a Texan! Watson Situation?

Where will J.J. Watt end up? Will Deshaun Watson be traded?

With J.J Watt being released from the Houston Texans, he will be a big target in free agency. He has had an amazing career with winning 3 defensive player of the years, recording 101 sacks, and getting 409 solo tackles. Many teams are in need of pass rusher and J.J. watt could be the missing piece that they need.

Watt has been slowly regressing throughout the past few years, but he is still a threat to opposing teams. Adding a guy like Watt to your defensive line will not only help it, but have a leader and veteran to help the othere guys with him.

Many teams have interest in Watt, and players around the league have been tweeting at him on twitter to see if he wants to come play for their team. For example Defensive End Cameron Jordan tweeted, ” I get you love the cold, up north somewhere Wisconsin born your bros in Pitts…, but we just caught a major cold front in New Orleans too, Just saying we get cold weather to.” With New Orleans being negative 70 million dollars in salary cap, I don’t believe he will be signing there.

There has been speculation of Watt joining his brother in Pittsburgh. This is not out of the realm of possibilities, but he has shown interest in signing with the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland is not in need of a pass rusher with already having Myles Garret, but it could take the load off of him if they sign Watt.

There is alot of talk around the league about the releasing of Watt, but now what does this mean for Deshaun Watson. Watson has said that he wants out of Houston when the season came to an end. Many teams around the league have been calling about trade offers for the Superstar quarterback, but the Texans haven’t been picking up the phone.

The Texans seem to be back in rebuilding mode after trading Deandre Hopkins over last offseason, and now releasing J.J. Watt. Watson is a great quarterback and has the ability to lead a team to a championship, but he believes that Houston is just not the fit for him anymore. If Watson stays in Houston, there is a chance that he won’t play in the upcoming 2021-2022 season.
