The Umbrella Academy revolves around the story of a family of seven adopted children who were all born the same day with superpowers. The group who had become estranged however ends up reuniting in order to solve the mystery of who killed their father and solve the threat of the impending apocalypse. However the family’s different personalities and abilities cause them to begin to grow apart once more.

This show is a great pick because it puts a spin on superheroes. Instead of it being about a stereotypical group of superheroes, it shows you a family who doesn’t have a clue what they are doing and takes you through the journey of their arguing and mistakes. The show also focuses a lot on emotion which brings out a lot of different aspects on the characters.

When They See Us

When They See Us follows the true story of five teens from Harlem who are falsely accused of causing a brutal attack in Central Park . It explores the lives of these young boys and walks the viewer through what happened during their case. The series starts from when the boys are first being questioned about the crime up until the moment they are exonerated.

This show is a perfect choice for viewers who like to learn more about true crime. It does a great job in depicting these boys’ lives while still keeping a sense of entertainment which keeps the viewer wanting to see and learn more.

The 100

This show is set ninety seven years after a nuclear war when a group of teens are sent to Earth to see if it is inhabitable. These 100 juvenile delinquents however have other plans and instead of reporting back and letting everyone back home know they are alive decide to make them believe they are dead, so that they can have the Earth to themselves. However they encounter problems along the way among themselves as well as with the other unknown inhabitants

People should watch this show because it does a good job in showing a different life and these teenagers’ actions when there are no grown ups around. As well as the eye catching visuals.

Dead to me

It is about two women who have recently gone through something tragic in their lives. They meet in a group and while their personalities could not be less alike they become friends. The show follows their ongoing friendship and their shared interest in “ The Facts of Life”

This show does an amazing job at bringing comedy into something tragic. It brings out the funny side to grief, loss and forgiveness. It shows the viewer a different point of view on grief and how everything doesn’t have to be dark and gloomy.

Chernobyl

The show revolves around the story of the Chernobyl disaster of 1986 and the cleanup efforts afterwards. It follows many of the people who were involved in the aftermath and their attempt to help. While also trying to expose the truth of what happened on this awful day. As well as what helped it become one of the world’s worst man-made catastrophes.

This show is great for people who want to learn it also is a good show for very opinionated people who like to take a deeper look into things and would like to make their own opinions of what happened or who was at fault.
