Texas Power Outage
March 1, 2021
Texas was not prepared for the snow storm that hit them early last week. The cold weather froze natural gas wells and blocked pipes. The power grid struggled due to this, and it couldn’t meet the demand necessary.
Residents were left with no heat, and endured freezing temperatures inside their homes. Pictures of icicles inside of Texas homes were seeing a bunch of publicity on twitter.

People are struggling for basic needs during this time. Supermarket shelfs are empty, living conditions are absurd, and people are suffering mentally and physically. See here:

The state’s power company is under high scrutiny for how they prepared from the storm. In this struggling time, Biden declared a major disaster in Texas, clearing the way for more federal funds to be spent on relief efforts.
