While the majority of the senior class leaves for Orlando, Florida next week, some of the seniors will still be here in Hammonton.  With all the attention on the seniors going on the trip, people tend to forget about the ones staying behind.  To find out what they will be doing this upcoming week, I interviewed several seniors staying here at home.

For some students, going to Disney is something they’ve done already, so they don’t feel the desire to go again.

“I’ve already been to Disney like three times, most recently last summer,” said senior Trey Hughey.  I will probably just hangout with everyone else that’s not going on the trip next week.”

The same is true for senior Sam Falzone.

“I just went to Florida in May.  I guess next week I’ll just be attending school,” he explained.

Other students don’t have work schedules that will allow them to be gone for the week.

“I cannot get off from work next week,” he explained.

Senior Kyle Copestick went on an alternative senior trip so chose not to go to Disney.

“I just got back from Puntacana a few weeks ago,” he said. “That was my senior trip”

Then, when asked what he will be doing with his time next week while everyone is on the trip, Copestick replied “I plan to further my education.”

For senior Zoe Conover, the allure of another large trip was greater than going to Disney.

“I will be going on the German exchange trip this year,” she said.

So how will she spend her days this week?

“I’m not gonna lie, I’m probably gonna stay home a few days,” she added with a smile.
