On Sunday December 8th, snow began to fall, creating a winter wonderland throughout town.

This was an exciting sight for some students considering it meant a relaxing day could be spent by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate.

However, the snow fall wasn’t favored by others, especially if you chose to drive through the storm, like myself.

Senior Brandon Alfonso enjoys the snow because it reminds him that Christmas is almost here.

“I love the snow because it gets me in the Christmas spirit and I would love to have a white Christmas this year,” said Alfonso.

Sophmore Megan Cortellessa didn’t mind the snow fall so close to Christmas either.

“I guess the snow gets me in the Christmas Spirit because its the ideal Christmas,” she said. “Everyone wants a white Christmas.”

Mrs. Nancy Michaelson, who teaches discovery science and physics, has mixed emotions about the recent snow. However, she does like its appearance.

“Well the snow was unexpected, but its really pretty. It’s not nice to drive in, but other than that I like it,” she said.

“I mean, it really is pretty,” she added with a smile.

Sunday’s snow fall didn’t phase school nurse Mrs. Christine Haines this week.

“My boys go to private school so their school was closed yesterday, and I didn’t have too much trouble getting to school,” she said.

On the other hand, some students developed a hatred for the snow. Senior Nick Gold wasn’t too fond of it at all.

“Snow doesn’t affect me in any way what so ever. I think its a big “hoopla.” Its not even covering the streets and people are leaving school early. It’s not even sticking to the roads, he said.

“It doesn’t even get me in the Christmas spirit,” he added.

Freshman Paul Pullia does not like the snow either because it causing him to do more work.

“I hate it, I had to get up early to shovel my driveway because of the snow. Then it snowed the next too and we didn’t have school so I was out shoveling again,” he said. google.
