So, what’s the deal with those boxes?

Many students have asked this question about the boxes stacked up by the football field, across from the student lot. They are stamped with the logo Temporary fencing surrounds them, and some construction equipment is parked inside too.

At the Hammonton Board of Education meeting on May 9, member John Lyons answered this question.

According to Lyons, the boxes contain materials for solar panels that the district plans to install this summer.

“We’ve worked with the vendor and their team so that it doesn’t disrupt some of the things that go on here over the summer,” he explained.
