Movie Night raises over $1300 for juvenile diabetes research
HHS Student Council and the Hammonton Education Association hosted a movie night featuring the live-action Disney film Aladdin on Thursday, October 10, in the high school gym. The event was a fundraiser for “Nathan’s Nation,” a local team raising money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in honor of Nathan, a local young man with Type 1 diabetes.
According to his mother, the best part of the event was the impact it had on Nathan. He said it was the best of his life, and that “I felt so awesome walking into that gym” and “so happy that all these people care about me and want to help me.”
The event raised over $1300 for this cause.
