The Student Council hosted a ” Spring Fling” on Friday, April 8, at 7:00pm. This dance was supposed to give 9th-11th graders but most importantly 12th graders a time to dance away and have the time of their lives before Prom and Graduation would happen.

“Seniors wanted one last event before they graduated,” explained junior John Sauer.  also said that the dance will be organized very moderately, everything will be nice and christmas lights on the walls with the main gym lights off. Lastly, John said that the school needed to add a new idea because the students needed something to enjoy. Dante Galletta was also able to answer those three questions about Spring Fling.

Dante said that he is not very sure about how the Spring Fling is being held this year. He said that it will probably not be very organized since students and teachers just decided to manage a dance. Dante also believes that people like to be extra when it comes to having more ideas for the school, so that is why Hammonton High School is having this dance. The last person that was interviewed for these questions was Mr. Boyd.

Mr. Boyd said that the dance is being held to give all students the opportunity to participate in an event during the spring when we have such a long stretch of school. Mr. Boyd also said that the dance will be very similar to Homecoming, with the exception of all the food. There will also be decorations and a great DJ.Lastly, Mr. Boyd wanted to bring some fun to the school, because Student Council believes there should be more excitement around the building.

There are few people that had actually bought the Spring Fling tickets and they are very excited to have an amazing time and dance the night away. These people are Sara Peretti, Nikki Silipino, and Ted Wardencki. Sara said that she is very excited for the dance and she will be wearing a pink and blue dress. Nikki is very happy for the school to be adding another event for the student to enjoy, and she is going to wear a multi-colored dress. Lastly, Ted is very excited to get out and enjoy some time with his friends, and enjoy some awesome music. Ted will be wearing jeans, and a green polo.

Spring Fling will be a tremendous opportunity to show students that although the school year is slowly coming to a close the school still knows how to come up with creative ideas for the student body to enjoy.
