On March 7th 2013, Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 departed for Beijing. Unfortunately, the plane never landed at its destination at Beijing Capital International Airport. There are many theories on what happened to Flight 370. Some that most believe and some that were not even given a second thought.

From those that pointed at a suicidal captain, to a major technical malfunction of the plane. We all have our ideas of what happened to flight 370 and non of which have any evidence for or against them.

For CNN National security analyst Peter Bergen, the idea that the flight could have been commandeered is not to far fetched.

“A commandeering is more idiosyncratic, where motives aren’t immediately clear, Bergen said.” “Commandeered flights have a history ,prior to the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States”

Another speculation is that the captain of the plane committed suicide and purposely crashed the commercial airliner. This speculation is the believed outcome to the missing flight by aviation expert Mark Weiss.

“It’s my belief that there was probably some type of struggle in the cockpit where it was one of the pilots that maybe had a meltdown or did something nefarious to the airplane,” said Weiss, a retired American Airlines pilot captain who has flown the Boeing 777 and now works at the Washington consulting firm Spectrum Group.

Lastly, perhaps those most widely beleived theory is that the plane had a major mechanical failure. Although there are many theories to what really happened to flight 370, there is no for sure answer until the plane is found.

As of today, there has been many sitings of floating debris in the Indian ocean. The most important piece of debris is the little black box that is in every cockpit of every airliner. This black box records all audio said in the cockpit and may spell out the truth in this bizarre mystery.
