Band hosts Santa Breakfast this Saturday

As “Santa Clause is Coming To Town” plays over the loudspeaker in stores and on the radio, parents have to deal with their kids begging to talk to Santa Clause.

Now, there is a huge opportunity that cannot be passed up.

On Saturday, December 7,  Santa Clause himself will appear in the high school cafeteria  for the annual Santa Breakfast sponsored by the marching band, which will take place fro 8:30-11:30.

Mr. Jason Koenig, the band directer, believes that this is a great fundraiser for the band and will keep children busy with fun activities..

“There are arts and crafts and face painting to help the kids stay entertained. The grand finale would be to get your picture taken with Santa and tell him what you want for Christmas,” he said.

Members of the marching band dress up and participate in this event.

Junior Marisa Nocito is in the Christmas spirit and is excited about Saturday morning.

“I participate in this breakfast because I like watching kids enjoy their day and seeing the smiles on their faces,” she said.

Senior PJ Amendolia is going to the Santa Breakfast for the first time.

“I have never been to the breakfast, and I am excited to see the expressions on the faces of all the kids after seeing Santa,” he said.

“Although I am not able to make it this year, I have gone the past few years and my favorite thing is painting the kids faces and having fun watching the kids have fun,” said senior Dakota Blemings.

Tickets will be for sale at the door for $6.00 (which includes the craft and a treat from Santa.)
