This Years HHS musical is a production of The Addams Family, which features the mythical Addams family and the ‘normal’ Beinske family.

The Addams family started off as a comic by Charles Addams which was published between 1938 and 1988, totalling in 150 stand alone pieces. The comics became the framework for tv shows, movies, and the musical.

The Musical hit Broadway in April of 2010 by playwrights  Rick Elice and Marshall Brickman, featuring music by Andrew Lippa, including songs like “the moon and me” and “one normal night”

the cast of The Addams Family consist of the Addams, father Gomez, mother Morticia, son Pugsley, daughter Wednesday, Grandma, Uncle fester, the family butler Lurch, and the family ancestors, and The Beinke family, Lucas and his parents Mal and Alice.

In the production, Wednesday falls in love with Lucas, leading to family turmoil as Gomez must keep it a secret from Morticia. Uncle Fester falls in love at the same time as Wednesday, and Grandma and Pugsly plot on their own. Everything changes when Wednesday has the Beinkes over for dinner.

Below are two songs show goers can look forward to hearing on the HHS stage:
