Dante DiMatteo for President

Dante DiMatteo for President

Why do you want to run for this position?

I want to run for Senior class president because I truly believe I can bring a better culture to this school and make it just a little more fun to be here for me and each and every one of my peers.

Please list your qualifications for this office.

I have participated in Student Council for the past year and I have done my part to help out in each and every way I could, whether it be for student council or the National Honor Society

Officers are leaders of the student body. Please state the biggest challenge you think that your class faces during this school year. How should this challenge be addressed?

The biggest challenge here at HHS is that newer students and some kids tend to be left out of activities (sports, clubs, etc) because they are not welcomed and they feel to scared to ask for help. This should be addressed by great leadership by the president and their colleagues. I would want there to be an Ask For Help type program whether it be for newer students or for students that tend to struggle with mental illness’.

What are some things you would like to accomplish as an officer this school year?

I want to make school fun to come to each and every day. I want students to be excited that they are coming here. And I will do whatever I can do within my power to make that a reality. Whether that be pep rallies or just something simple like spirit week, I want people to be happy to be here every single day.

In 250 words or less, write an explanation to your peers on why you would be the best candidate for the desired position.

I truly to my core believe that I am the guy to make this school great the way it should be, I have never been more determined to do something and I will to the best of my ability lead this school. I want this school to be fun the way I have always wanted it to be and I truly hope that I can win over this roll and make Hammonton great the way it should be. Thank you.

Why do you want to run for this position?

I believe that I can make many improvements to the school to allow our senior year to be as enjoyable as possible.

Please list your qualifications for this office.

Captain of 5 different hockey teams over the last 4 years, team captain of the hurdles for the track team, assistant manager at The Cold Cow.

Officers are leaders of the student body. Please state the biggest challenge you think that your class faces during this school year. How should this challenge be addressed?

One of the biggest challenges my class faces is the division amongst the students, which can be mainly attributed to our unusual high school experience due to COVID-19. I want to challenge this by hosting many school sponsored events to help bring everyone together before the end of senior year.

What are some things you would like to accomplish as an officer this school year?

I would like to address the dress code in hopes of relaxing some of the regulations, discuss with the school board about the potential of bringing back free breakfast/lunches for students, address the E-hall pass situation with our school board in hopes of reaching terms that benefit the students more, and hold clothing drives for those in need.

In 250 words or less, write an explanation to your peers on why you would be the best candidate for the desired position.

I am the best candidate for this position because I want to represent you. I believe that the student body has had very little say in what has occured over the last 3 years and that needs to change. I hear your problems, and I want to fix them. I believe that together, we can make this an amazing senior year.

Tiffany Paretti for President

Why do you want to run for this position?

I would like to run for class office to make sure that my fellow classmates have a voice that can speak out for change, by listening to their highly valued requests throughout the school year.

Please list your qualifications for this office.

Vice president of freshman class, President of sophomore class, President of junior class, girl scout for the past 13 years, co-captain of SJVBC 18 tops team

Officers are leaders of the student body. Please state the biggest challenge you think that your class faces during this school year. How should this challenge be addressed?

The biggest challenge I believe the school and student body faces during this school year is togetherness. I believe that as a school, we must appreciate and respect each others differences in order to become closer together as a school environment. Social interaction is a very important part of high school, and should be reinstated for our school morale to be boosted. This challenge can be addressed by careful planning, attention to detail, and execution of various activities for the student body to participate in to bring us together.

What are some things you would like to accomplish as an officer this school year?

I would like to accomplish having a stress-free Homecoming decoration week, through having as many volunteers from our Senior class as possible to assist the officers with the decoration. I also would like to host various Senior class trips, other than just Disney World, in order to make sure that those who cannot attend Senior trip will still have an amazing experience during our last year of High School.

In 250 words or less, write an explanation to your peers on why you would be the best candidate for the desired position.

I, Tiffany Paretti, am the ideal candidate for the position of Senior Class President because I am a dedicated and driven leader. If re-elected, I would like to be given the opportunity to continue the work that I have carried out for the past two years as your class President.

This includes making sure that your concerns and requests are heard, and carried out throughout the year. My mission, if elected, is to make sure that our Senior year is both an enjoyable, and unforgettable experience. I believe that the inclusion of everyone in the Senior class is important, so in order to include everyone who may not be able to attend the Walt Disney World trip, I would like to instate various other trips or activities that we, as a class, can participate in throughout the year

Jenna Thibault for President

Why do you want to run for this position?

I would love the opportunity to represent not only myself but my classmates as well. Being able to be class president has always been something I dreamed of. I would love to represent my peers with their wants and needs not only to the principles but to the board of education. Watching other Senior class presidents speak for their classmates at graduation and graduate together is something I want to do.

Please list your qualifications for this office.

Leadership has always been something I thrived at, being able to step up and represent not only my team but my family is important. I have been a class representative the past three years and want to continue representing my peers and advocate their wants and needs. I have done continuous hours of community service and continue to serve my community everyday. Leadership is something I encourage everyone to express because everyone is a leader in different ways.

Officers are leaders of the student body. Please state the biggest challenge you think that your class faces during this school year. How should this challenge be addressed?

The biggest challenge I think that the senior class is going to face is regret. Ending high school is not something easy and many people will graduate wishing they had done more. Being class president I want to ensure students that there will be no regret come graduation. If I was selected as senior class president I would provide many opportunities for the senior class to become a family and experience so many fun things before graduation. I will encourage every student to get involved because you are only in high school once. This year the class of 2023 will become a family and I want to make sure that our last hooray is the best one yet.

What are some things you would like to accomplish as an officer this school year?

One of the main things I want to accomplish this year is getting a bus to take students to away games. There are so many students that would love to support their fellow Blue Devils, but can’t find a ride. Becoming senior class president I would push to try and get something approved for the students. Even if it wouldn’t be this year I want to get something started for the years to come.

In 250 words or less, write an explanation to your peers on why you would be the best candidate for the desired position. (Think of this as a speech to your peers)

To the class of 2023, as your class president I want to not only encourage you to get involved in the Blue Devil pride but represent you as a Blue Devil. As seniors in high school this is it for us, many last first. As many of you have already started to experience a last first, it’s sad and scary. Graduating high school should not be something you regret but something you are deeply excited about. As your class president I will make sure that you regret nothing. Getting to experience everything you can as a senior is so important and I want to make sure EVERY senior gets that experience. As your class president I want to listen and create new ideas that my peers believe would make our senior year extraordinary. Something in particular I want to try for this year is creating a student bus that takes the Blue Devils to away games. Going to school events is something that everyone should experience and having transportation to away games will not only create more spirit but final memories for everyone. This is our year to make our final memories. As your class president I will make sure that this is the best year yet.

Officers are leaders of the student body. Please state the biggest challenge you think that your class faces during this school year. How should this challenge be addressed?

I believe our current biggest problem is getting the school spirit we lost during COVID. This is our first real school year without masks or anything reminding us of the terrible years we had from covid. That being said, it is important to learn how to re-enter school from before COVID and treat everyone with respect!

What are some things you would like to accomplish as an officer this school year?

I would love to help plan an amazing homecoming with the student council officers, As well as win the hallway decorating contest! The main goal this year is to just have as much fun as we can and bring back the Hammonton spirit that has been missing the past couple years.

In 250 words or less, write an explanation to your peers on why you would be the best candidate for the desired position.

I have the best interests of our senior class in mind. We want this year to be the best yet since it is our last and with me as your vice president I will be able to work along side the president to make that happen! We want more school spirit and amazing homecoming for everyone this year. For 3 years now as a student class officer I have always had the best interest of my peers in mind. Officers are leaders of the student body. Please state the biggest challenge you think that your class faces during this school year. How should this challenge be addressed?

I think this year we struggle with change. The student body is used to last year where rules were not in place and now that we have them it’s a struggle to adapt. I think the fun things we have planned will help maintain the fun of school.

What are some things you would like to accomplish as an officer this school year?

I’m very excited to plan the hallway and decorate!

In 250 words or less, write an explanation to your peers on why you would be the best candidate for the desired position. (Think of this as a speech to your peers)

Why do you want to run for this position?

I ran for office my freshman year and didn’t make it, this year I want to be involved more than just student council and make my senior year the best it could be.

Please list your qualifications for this office. What kind of experience have you had that would help you with this position?

I have been involved with my grade for every event the past three years and was in student council all three years. I want what’s best for our class especially because i’m am so involved both athletically and academically.

Officers are leaders of the student body. Please state the biggest challenge you think that your class faces during this school year. How should this challenge be addressed?

I think the biggest challenge this year for our class is to get the high school back and better than it was pre-covid.

What are some things you would like to accomplish as an officer this school year?

In office I hope to accomplish getting through the year as smoothly as possible, and getting to experience a true senior year with all the opportunities that other classes have had in the past.

In 250 words or less, write an explanation to your peers on why you would be the best candidate for the desired position. (Think of this as a speech to your peers)

I’m Giada Palmieri and I am running for senior class secretary which may or may not come to a surprise to many of you. As I may have laid low these past three years, and have not been involved in elections, I feel that this year is the perfect year to run. I am always involved and spend most of my time at all of the high school activities I can. I am on the varsity field hockey team, varsity basketball team, varsity softball team, captain for both the field hockey and basketball team, a part of student council, a peer mentor, and a member of the National Honors Society as well. Everything that I have done the past three years I have stuck with, including sports and academics, and my reasoning for acknowledging this is because this is exactly what I would do as class secretary. If there are any problems I won’t quit unless there is a solution. I will listen and bring any class issues up to other members of the office. I hope to have the opportunity to be alongside the class of 2023 and help in any way possible to get the school back and better than it was pre Covid-19. I love this school, I want to be advantageous to the class and I want us all to build memories we’ll remember and cherish forever. And for all these reasons I am asking for your vote so that I can become the senior class secretary of the class of 2023.

Amelia Schirmer for Secretary

Amelia+Schirmer+for+Secretary

Why do you want to run for this position?

I have always been extremely active within many organizations throughout the school. I want the chance to be more involved in the infrastructure of the Class of 2023.

Please list your qualifications for this office. What kind of experience have you had that would help you with this position?

For the 2021-2022 school year, I was an officer in both the Key and Interact clubs and assisted with many service projects within them. In addition, I was a member of many other clubs, including NHS and the Leo Club. I also work very well with others and genuinely enjoy helping to make a difference in not only the class, but throughout the school. Throughout highschool, I’ve participated in multiple Christmas giving projects and assisted with my class’ hallway decorations for homecoming week.

Officers are leaders of the student body. Please state the biggest challenge you think that your class faces during this school year. How should this challenge be addressed?

I think that the biggest challenge we face is adjusting to the return of normalcy that our class hasn’t seen in two years. We could address this challenge by organizing more activities for our students to help them make up for everything that they lost.

What are some things you would like to accomplish as an officer this school year?

I want to be able to help voice suggestions and concerns made by my fellow classmates. I would also like to make sure that everyone is properly represented and included to ensure that everyone is able to have a fantastic year.

In 250 words or less, write an explanation to your peers on why you would be the best candidate for the desired position. (Think of this as your speech to your peers)

I believe that I am the best candidate for this position because not only do I have suggestions of things that I think would make the school year great, but I am also more than willing to work with my peers to make sure that their voices are heard as well. I want every senior to be able to have an amazing last year in highschool, considering all of the challenges our class has faced throughout the past 3 years.

Anthony Berchie for Treasurer

Why do you want to run for this position?

Our school needs to see some new faces a new change for the school year and I believe I am the perfect fit for that.

Please list your qualifications for this office. What kind of experience have you had that would help you with this position?

I have experience with being a treasurer because freshman year I was the treasurer of the future of Nurses Club and after that I became president because the student body loves me.

Officers are leaders of the student body. Please state the biggest challenge you think that your class faces during this school year. How should this challenge be addressed?

The biggest challenge I think my class faces is skin color. This problem can be addressed as “Never judge a book by its cover.” Always judge person by their character; they are not by the color of their skin.

What are some things you would like to accomplish as an officer this school year?

The things I would like to accomplish are letting everybody’s voice be heard not just the officers giving everybody a fair shot.

In 250 words or less, write an explanation to your peers on why you would be the best candidate for the desired position. (Think of this as a speech to your peers)

I would be a perfect candidate for treasurer because it is time that Hammonton had a new face on the student body committee. I would be a great choice because I would have great ideas to bring to the table and make everybody’s voice be heard.

Emma Peretti for Treasurer

I want to act as a voice on behalf of my peers in order to better the student environment. I also love participating and being apart of homecoming/prom decorating.

I am also a three sport varsity athlete, where I have been captain for two-three years on every team. It is in these roles that I have learned the importance of leadership and commitment.

Officers are leaders of the student body. Please state the biggest challenge you think that your class faces during this school year. How should this challenge be addressed?

This year, it is important for our student body to get to experience every aspect of high school. It is crucial we celebrate our final year in the school with four pep-rallies, homecoming, prom, spring-dance, movie nights, spirit weeks, and other creative ideas that bring everyone in the school together. It is crucial that the officers press for these ideas to become reality.

What are some things you would like to accomplish as an officer this school year?

As an officer, I would like to plan an edition of the Blue Review to go out featuring seniors wills. I would also like to encourage more students to attend the athletic events we have here at Hammonton.

In 250 words or less, write an explanation to your peers on why you would be the best candidate for the desired position. (Think of this as a speech to your peers)

Hi Class of 2023! I encourage you to vote for me as your class treasurer! As we enter our senior year, everything is about experience. I have been your class treasurer for the past three years of high school, so I understand how much time and dedication it takes to hold this position. Aside from my experience in this position, I have also exhibited my leadership roles as a two-year captain of the Girls Soccer and Girls Track team and as a three-year captain of the Girls Basketball team. I am also the Treasurer of NHS, as well as an active member of Key Club, Leo Club, and Student Council. My past three years of high school have been full of involvement, and I hope to get everyone involved in all the events the school has to offer. This year, it is crucial that we get to experience every event high school has to offer. The pandemic has halted many traditions, like four pep rallies, in which I would love to get back. As an officer, I plan to vouch on the student’s behalf for these fun traditions to return, and I plan on taking the initiative to allow seniors to have their wills posted in an edition of the Blue Review. The tradition of seniors posting their wills in the yearbook has been obsolete in the past years, and I hope to create an opportunity for us to bring that back. I also would like to encourage more students to pack the stands to support our athletic teams. If you are looking forward to a fun senior year, vote for me as your Senior Class Treasurer!
