Even though this is Ms. Grasso first year working at Hammonton, she already experienced working with various populations including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in a variety of settings. As a support counselor, she helps students who are struggling with emotional and/or behavioral challenges that impact their functioning during the school-day. After Graduating from HHS she attended Atlantic Cape Community College and received a degree in Psychology, as well as a Master Degree in Social Work from  Rutgers University. And is currently a License Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

1. How many years have you been working In Hammonton High?

-I started working with the school district in October 2021.

2. What led you to become a teacher? And how did you end up in HHS

-I actually am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – I went to college and got a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Social Work. After I graduated, I worked with populations of individuals ranging from children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. When I heard about the new position the district was implementing, I knew I wanted to be the person who could be an effective Student Support Counselor.

3. Most difficult thing about your job?

-The most difficult thing about my job would be feeling the occasional feeling of not being able to do enough for each individual I work with.

4. Favorite things about hammonton?

-Bagliani’s and Bruni’s pizza – hands down.

5. Are you a dog person or a cat person(Or neither)?

-I am a cat person. I have a one-and-a-half year old domestic shorthair tabby cat and her name is Nova (like the car, not the solar system).

6. Do you have any hidden talents? If so, what is it?

-I used to do theater when I was younger and loved dance and all things art. I would say my hidden talent would be singing and acting.

7. What’s your go-to karaoke song?

-One of my favorites to sing with my friends is Wannabe by the Spice Girls.

8. If you could take a dream vacation, where would you go?

-I would love to go on a Europe tour to Italy, France, England, Greece, etc.

9. Biggest Pet Peeve?

-My biggest pet peeve is when people leave half-filled water bottles places.
