After completing this project I found that mod podge does NOT work. I used the alternate material on the site which was hot glue and this worked well.

If you use fake leaves, I also recommend removing the plastic stems on the back, it’ll help it to stick better.

Short, tea light candles are also recommended. It isn’t shown in the video but I had to cut the candle down for it to light the whole lantern.
