In your opinion, what is/are the most pressing issue(s) for HHS students this year?
In my opinion the most pressing issue for the students at HHS this year is how to deal with the ongoing pandemic. Emotionally, mentally and physically everyone is struggling. And as much as we are trying to be somewhat “normal” the fact of the matter is – we are not. We cannot live in fear of what is going on but live with caution and know that what we have been taught as far as common sense and sanitation will be enough to get us through this very real situation. We need to encourage one another and help each other in any way possible.

What is important about this year/grade (i.e. freshman year, sophomore year, junior year, senior year), and what role do you believe class officers have in making it a successful one?
The importance of this year, Freshman year for me, is the experience of entering High School. The way the class officers can make this a successful one is by getting students involved, and listening to them and their ideas and allowing those involved to participate. It is a team effort and that is what is going to make this year a successful one.

What are some of the strengths of the HHS student community?
One of the strengths of the HHS community is the diversity we have in this school. This allows us to be able to see and hear from all walks of life which we may not necessarily see or hear of if we didn’t have that here at HHS. Another is “community” which means, we all come together when it is needed the most and do what needs to get done.

What are some areas of the HHS experience that could be better?
Since the school year is fairly new and I am new in this school, I can’t really say what could be better in HHS at this time.

One question that should have been asked to get to know be a little better is what can you provide to the freshman class? I can provide a hard-working and dedicated individual that will have the best interest of the whole freshman class in mind. I will make sure as many people as possible are included in events and try to get everyone involved.
