What classes should the school offer?

Do you believe the school is offering all the classes you believe will truly help students? You are not the only one. Various other student think there should be different classes being offered here at HHS.

Heleyna Lawrow, grade 11, says there should be classes more based on Ancient Greece, Native Americans, and other cultures. “I feel as though other cultures are not exhibited in a well enough manner.”

Heleyna is not the only student who feels as if there should be more classes. Sophomore Danielle McManus, who hopes to join the veterinarian field one day, wants classes such as science and anatomy specifically about animals to help her prepare for veterinary school one day. Another sophomore, Noah Petracci, wants there to be more languages such as Mandarin offered at our school, because of the “diversity it will [provide] throughout the country.”

Far from animal sciences and languages, Austin Voss, grade 10, hopes for there to be an astronomy course offered. “I think it makes people think about what is out in the real world beyond Earth, and it would be more engaging for students,” says Austin.

Finally, junior Julia Simpers wants there to be a teaching class to help her become, well, a teacher. After college, she hopes to pursue her dream of teaching, and a class on how to teach would help her skills improve greatly.

Obviously, many students want a wider range of classes offered at Hammonton High School. What classes do you want offered?
