Mr. Barbagallo has been teaching here at Hammonton High School since the 2005-2006 school year. He graduated from Rowan University in 2005 with a BA in Psychology with a concentration in Behavior Modification. He currently teaches three offerings in CP Psychology and three offerings in AP Psychology.

1. What is your favorite thing about your job? I have to say one of my favorite things about my job is watching my students succeed – especially after they have graduated. It is so fun seeing how they have grown, the families they have made, and the careers they have for themselves. I have now taught people in the medical field, lawyers, police officers, people in the armed services, tradespeople, and even some of my current colleagues; just to name a few. It is so awesome and incredibly humbling.

2. What is your least favorite thing about your job? I can’t say I really dislike much of anything, but if I had to choose something – I really don’t like grading papers. I love teaching, laughing, and having fun with my students, but dread reading the same thing over and over for hours upon end.

3. One thing about me that would surprise people is…? I had the most luscious hair. Seriously. It was the bees-knees.

4. What has been your favorite memory since working here at Hammonton? I am going to cheat a little bit here and say that helping to conduct graduation at the end of the school year and seeing the proud and distinguished faces of the graduates makes my heart smile. There are some cool cats in every graduating class.

5. When i’m not teaching you will find me….? Running my small car detailing business in the summer, and if I am not doing that, I am looking for my golf ball in the woods because I stink. Love to play, though!

6. One thing I have learned about working at HHS is….? Empathy. Seeing how our students come from virtually every different aspect of life, it is a reminder to always remain humble. As always – be the person that you needed when you were younger.

7. My biggest pet peeve is….? Pompousness. There is a large difference between cockiness and confidence. Always remain humble and continue working hard. Perfection is not something to obtain, rather to continually strive for.
