Hammonton High School is gearing up for a significant academic milestone as Grade 11 students prepare to undertake the New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment (NJGPA). The assessment, set to take place from March 11 to March 14, will provide a crucial evaluation of students’ proficiency in key subjects essential for graduation.

Juniors will report to school at the regular time of 7:30 AM each day. In a notable adjustment to accommodate the assessment, Grades 9, 10, and 12 will have a delayed opening, with a report time of 9:30 AM.

This shift in schedule ensures Grade 11 students can focus on the NJGPA without distraction. For those who rely on school transportation, provisions have been made. Freshmen, sophomores, and seniors without alternate transportation options during the delayed opening period can utilize their regular bus service and participate in a supervised study hall until homeroom commences at 9:30 AM.

Make-up sessions have been organized from March 18 to March 21, allowing every Grade 11 student the opportunity to demonstrate their proficiency in the event of illness or absence.
