Eagles vs. Cowboys Preview
Philadelphia Vs. Dallas. It’s a rivalry that has spanned decades. Every time these two franchise’s square off it is bound to be a memorable game. The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys will meet for the first time this season on Sunday November 19, 2017 in Arlington Texas.
These two teams split their season series last year each winning at their home field. This season has been a different one for both teams. The Eagles who are coming off their bye week are 8-1 and have won seven straight games.
They are lead by second year quarterback Carson Wentz who has made a leap from year one to year two. He has 23 passing touchdowns through 9 games surpassing his season total of 16 during his rookie campaign. He has also thrown 5 interceptions so far this season which is the same total he had the year before through his first 9 games.
The Eagles will also be getting more help in their secondary by cornerback Ronald Darby returning from injury. The Eagles will not have LT Jason Peters and MLB Jordan Hicks for this game due to both being placed on IR.
Now for the Dallas Cowboys they are also lead by a second year QB in Dak Prescott. He has lead the Cowboys to a 5-4 record, second behind Philly in the NFC East. Prescott statistically is having a pretty good year with 16 TDs and only 4 INTs.
The Cowboys are coming off a brutal 27-7 defeat against the Atlanta Falcons. Not only did they lose the game they also lost LB Sean Lee. He is the heart and soul of their defense. Ezekiel Elliott will not play as well because of his 6 game suspension. They will most likely be without their LT Tyron Smith. These factors could be detrimental to their chances of winning against the Eagles.
