Throughout the NFL football season, people can not stop talking about quarterback position. They are  popular because they are most likely going to be the out come of the game.  If the quarterback is throwing passes as the receivers feet, the team is most likely going to lose.

Starting off the season, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning stunned the world throwing 7 touchdowns (T-NFL record) against the defending Super Bowl champs, the Baltimore Ravens.

Philadelphia’s backup quarter back Nick Foles also tied the NFL record for the most passing touchdowns against the Oakland Raiders. Foles coming off a concussion got the start because Michael Vick has a hamstring injury the previous week against the New York Giants.   Nick Foles also has 13 touchdowns and no interceptions this season.  It is up to Eagles coach Chip Kelley to decide if he wants to play Vick or Foles for the upcoming games.

Chip Kelley is letting the controversy build up because it’s a battle for the job between Foles and Vick. Eagles don’t have a consistent quarterback and it’s dragging the Eagles down. They one of the most deadly offenses in the game, but lack a quarterback that can stay consistent. It seems like every time each one gets the start they do bad and when the other one comes in they do good. It’s been all over sports center because who knows what this team can do once it gets on track and get moving.

Passionate football fans at the school are not afraid to share their thoughts on the matter.

“Foles should get the start because he is younger, healthier, and he is a better passer, ” said senior Brian Gazzara.

Assistant football coach Greg Silvesti, who knows a lot about the game, made his assessment.

“Vick stinks, he is to prone to injury and Foles is better at this point,” he said.
