Your feelings are valid

Your feelings are valid

“Oh, their problems are so much worse than mine.”

“My problems don’t matter as much as everyone else’s.”

“I have such a great life compared to others, so I should stop feeling so bad.”

Do you often find yourself saying these thing? Do you hear others saying this?

When people do this, they are invalidating their own emotions. Which is not okay. Just because your problems don’t seem as big as someone else’s, or you think your problems don’t matter as much as someone else’s, remember this: it doesn’t matter, and they do. If you have big problems, small problems, or medium problems, they are still PROBLEMS. And problems should be attended to no matter what.

It doesn’t matter what’s going on with other people and their issues. They have nothing to do with your’s, and therefore should not affect how you view your problems’ importance in any way. All problems are problems. All problems need to be fixed.

So always try to remember,
