Business teacher Mr. Pete Lancetta graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1980. He attended Moradian College and Stockton, graduating in 1985 with a B.A. in Business.  He spent the first three years of his teaching career at Bishop Eustace Prep, but began working in Hammonton in 1989, where he was been ever since. It is here where he also served 26 years as the head football coach.

I was inspired to go into eduction because… while commuting to Stockton, I started coaching. I enjoyed teaching young people, especially through coaching. Teaching felt natural.

The best piece of advice I would give to other teachers is… maintain your passion for what you do.

During retirement, I plan to… work at St. Augustine Prep.

Some of the highlights of my career include… when previous students go into business and were inspired by my class. Also, when players have grown to be great husbands, fathers, and men.

The best thing about this job has been… the established relationships, laughter, and fun work with people, including fellow coaches, teaching staff, and administration.

If I could re-do one thing about my career, I would… have liked to do more with football alumni.

When I’m not in school, I like to… work out, swim, do yard work, and watch football (even out of season).
