Ms. Olive graduated from HHS and studied math education at Stockton University. She teaches CP Geometry, Algebra 2, and Readiness Algebra 2. This is her first teaching position.

I have known that I wanted to be teacher… since I was little. I had a classroom in my basement growing up.

One challenging thing about teaching that I didn’t realized when I started was that… teachers do a ton of behind-the-scenes work that nobody realizes.

The thing that I enjoy most about teaching is… coming to school every day and seeing my students. Even when I’m having a bad day, my kids always make me laugh.

My biggest pet peeve is… chipped nail polish.

One talent or hobby I have is… I don’t have many talents but my hobby has always been sports. I played basketball in high school and am helping out with the girls team this year. It’s nice to get back to a sport I love.

A person/people who inspire me… are my parents. They taught me to work hard but have fun.

I love my subject area because… math is so relevant in everyone’s lives. I’ve always loved the challenge of a good math problem and the accomplished feeling when you find the answer.
