One Of Us: Mr. Gazzara

Mr. Brian Gazzara grew up in wonderful “H-town” and went to St Joseph’s School. He later earned his degree from Rowan University and his first year teaching was Holy Spirt High School in 2001. When he left there, he came to Hammonton and has been here ever since.
I am…   Brian Gazzara

.

I teach biology because…  I love to understand the world around me and how things interact.

My dream house would be located… at Lake Tahoe because you can have the best of both worlds. Snowboard in the morning and water ski in the afternoon. Aside from that, the sights are simply breathtaking.
My biggest pet peeve is…  when my kids leave the lights on in their room and they’re not in there.
My favorite inspirational movie is. No favorite inspirational movie; however, ‘The Shawshank Redemption’  is my all-time favorite movie. Whenever it comes on I find myself watching it irregardless of the time. Love that flick!
If not teaching I would be…   pursuing my other dream job (using my biology degree): working in the Florida Everglades driving an airboat and studying alligator habitat!
My biggest fear is… Even though it’s inevitable, when my kids grow up and start lives of their own. I can’t imagine what life would be like without them in it on a daily basis.
My favorite music artist/group is…  Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band.
On a Saturday night you could catch me… hanging out with the family watching movies, playing Wii or breaking up fights between the kids. Fun stuff like that.

One thing most people don’t know about me is… I spent 4 years in the US Army as a 31 Foxtrot. This is communications. I met a lot of great people during my tenure in the service. While in MOS training I was the Ping pong champion of all Charlie company!
