When nothing goes right, go left, except making a left is now banned.

A new traffic sign went up today stopping people from making a left turn onto 4th street in Hammonton from the Road of Excellence. Due to the school traffic going against normal flow, the Hammonton Police Department decided that the new law banning the left turn was the safest and easiest solution to this ongoing problem.

Many parents and guardians take their children to school rather than sending them on a school bus, therefore causing more of a traffic flow in the morning and in the afternoon during pickups and drop offs.

When reactions from many parents and guardians, as well as student drivers became clearly known Officer Friel was questioned. He made sure to clarify that law enforcement has the right to pull people over because it is a violation of the law, leading to consequences.

With this being said, be sure to abide by the new law, do the right thing, and go right.
