Prom Dress Looks for 2018

Hammonton High School’s Junior & Senior is approaching with only weeks away and the big question is, what designs will we be seeing this year? Many popular trends have risen through the past from high valued companies such as Jovani, Sherri Hill and Ellie Wilde.

HHS students have the opportunity to post and show their fellow classmates the dress of their dreams in hopes that no one else will steal their spotlight and get the same dress.

In the recent years we’ve seen the style of two pieces grow from short semi-formal dresses to full out prom gowns. With the two piece, you get the illusion of two different parts to be looking at while also revealing a little bit of skin. It leaves a bold small message from the individual of self love and confidence in their physical features.

A trend recently brought back from decades before is the floral design. Typically seen on the two piece though only placed at the bottom half of the dress. Flowers give a unique pattern to the gown highlighting every color shown. This design also leaving an antique or vintage type of look.

In addition, the traditional long gowns fill the boutiques as well as the HHS Prom Twitter feed. This style along with the floral print brings back a unique blast of the past, creating a true sense of a “princess” moment. As it glides swiftly on the ground showing a delicate and fine structure elegantly complementing the individual wearing it. Though the lower half of this style is mostly the same, one can go many different ways with the top including strapless, v-neck and square neck-line.
