New Year’s: a time for joy, a time for parties, and a time for becoming new.

Every year, celebrators of the New Year’s reflect on the past year and what they wish to have done differently.

For some, it provides a reason   to set goals and start over from scratch. Whether it’s to improve with their physique, their grades, their health, or their hobbies, students and staff want to improve and have their resolutions set.

Only time will tell how strong their resolve is.

“My New Year’s resolution is…

  • Tommy Donio (Grade 11): …to lose weight so I can be in shape for football season.”
  • Lauren Campanella (Grade 12): …to wait for my food to cool off before I eat it because I’m tired of burning my mouth.”
  • Miles Sampson (Grade 11): …to keep my grades up because junior year is an important year for good grades.”
  • Erin Rehmann (Grade 12): …to start exercising on my own more regularly so I can be healthier.”
  • Jimmy Austin (Grade 12): …to really try to eat lot less junk food because I want to get rid of my body fat so I can look better and be healthier.”
  • Alyssa Kinnard (Grade 12): …to stop texting after 10 pm because it messes with my dreams.”
  • Kyle Pantalone (Grade 12): …to make the most of everyday and everyone because you might not have it all one day.”
  • Michelle Viggiano (Grade 12): …to start eating healthier and exercising more so I can live a long and healthy life.”
  • Mario Scotto di Vetta (Grade 12): …to spend the rest of high school with my closest friends because there will be many friends I will miss after high school. For example, I will miss my best friend James who is going into the Marine Corps. Senior year is important because it is the last year we can act stupid and enjoy ourselves before we go out into the real world.”
  • Doug Fusco (Grade 12): …to keep organized, stay focused on my grades, and to not get senioritis the rest of the year so I look good for college.”
  • Lena Richards (Grade 12): …to train harder this year in karate because I want to make my instructor proud since I won’t see him once I leave for college.”
  • Nick Capretti (Grade 12): …to start working out more because I want a healthier body.”
  • Reigner Maspono (Grade 12): …to actually try in school because Im not doing so well.”
  • Mike Morano (Grade 12): …to lose weight because I want to be in shape for when I go to college.”
